Is rock climbing, water and desert on your to do list?  Well, we want to combine all 3 for you in this epic weekend adventure.  Climb high above the cool waters of Clear Creek when the temperatures soar well above 90 degrees.  Can’t scale a classic 5.10, no worries, just let go and fall into beautiful and cool Clear Creek and try again until you get it right.  Clear Creek offers the best local DWS in the region! 

Anyone can do it! No previous climbing experience necessary!

ITINERARY 

COST INCLUDES – Travel, lodging, breakfast and dinner for 2 days and lunch for one day will be provided.  Boats, PFD's and other flotation devices needed.

REQUIRED GEAR

Join Randy Rokosz & Dan Sherman in an extensive introduction to Ice Climbing.  In this adventurous 2 day, all-inclusive course, you will learn how to safely climb WI2 and WI3 rated ice in the beautiful Eastern Sierras of June Lake & Lee Vining, CA.  You will learn about the ice, gear, gear-placement, communication, radio usage, anchors and avalanche awareness.  You are guaranteed to learn the basic fundamentals of ice climbing and have a safe & fun experience!

ITINERARY

Meeting Place: DNA Consultants will pick you up at a pre-arranged location.  We will all travel together.

Trip Date: Friday, February 2, 2018 through Sunday, February 4, 2018

Meeting Time: 5:00pm

Cost: $325 per registrant.  This includes Cabin in June Lake for 2 nights, Transportation to the trailhead, Hearty Breakfast & Dinner for Saturday and Sunday, Photography & Professional Instruction. (You will be responsible for your own lunch and snacks)

Join Randy Rokosz & Dan Sherman as we caravan to Ouray, CO.  Home to the Ouray Ice Festival, and some of the most popular ice climbing in the world.  We will throw our ice tools into the frozen waterfalls of this competition WI2 – WI4 ice and climb shoulder to shoulder with ice climbers from all over the world.  This experience is not to be missed; the town of Ouray has charm like none other and coupled with the exhilarating ice climbing, you are sure to get your thrills and chills in!

THIS CLASS IS GEARED FOR THE OUTDOOR ADVENTURER!

Join American Heart Association Instructor Dan Sherman for this informative CPR/ FA class. Dan is a 14 year Paramedic with both the Fire Service and Search and Rescue. 

ITINERARY

We will cover CPR for adults, children and infants. We will go over choking for all age groups as well as the use of AED's (Automated External Defibrillators). 

The First Aid portion will cover medical and traumatic emergencies. Medical emergencies included will be allergic reactions and heart attacks. Traumatic emergencies included will be dislocations, fractures, bleeding control and splinting.

REQUIRED GEAR

We will provide all the required equipment. Please bring water and food for the duration of the class. 

TRAINING AGENDA

4:00pm – 7:00pm - We will learn how to manage Cardiac Arrest and Choking patients. 

7:00pm - 7:30pm - We will have a 30 min break for dinner. There is food in the area. Bringing food with you to class may be the best choice. 

7:30pm – 10:00pm: We will learn how to manage Medical and Traumatic Emergencies.

Join Search & Rescue professional, certified rope expert, Dan Sherman and skilled rock climbers Randy Rokosz and Seth Kazmer in this 1 day class to learn the basic fundamentals of rock climbing. You will explore and climb at Stoney Point where rock climbing pioneer, Royal Robbins began his training. At the end of this class, you will be gleaming with confidence to safely climb many of California’s prominent rock features.

ITINERARY

Your training will include: - Belay techniques - Signals & calls - Primary knots - Gear talk - Bolt security - Anchor assessment - Climbing techniques - Rock assessment - Safety talk - Rock climbing!

REQUIRED GEAR

Sturdy approach type shoes, rock climbing shoes, harness, helmet, ATC device, single length sling, double length sling, prusik, 3 large locking carabiners, sunglasses, chalk & bag, sunscreen ***Water, Lunch and Snacks***

9:00am - noon - Rock & Bolt assessment - Prusik demonstration and use - Team safety & closing the system Noon – 1:00pm - Lunch break Cont. - Mountain Project discussion and app download - Local climb handout 1:00pm – 4:00pm -Rock climb

4:00pm – 6:00pm: Dinner & Drink Celebration

Experience Colorado: Sensory Overload

Put your adventurous spirit in overdrive with this experience like none other.  After an overnight drive to southern Colorado, strap on your sandboard and carve the 750’ slopes of the tallest sand dunes in North America.  Then hit the white water of class IV-V rapids in the famous and beautiful Royal Gorge.  Finally, bag Americas gem of a peak, Pikes Peak standing at 14,114’ all in an epic 4 day weekend. 

ITINERARY

COST - $600 per person ($250 deposit due 4/29)

COST INCLUDES – Travel, lodging, Breakfast & Dinner, Lunch for 2 days, Raft Fees, Park Permit Fees, Sandboard Gear.

DAY 1 – Sandboard Great Sand Dunes

DAY 2 – Whitewater Raft the Royal Gorge of the Arkansas River

DAY 3 – Summit Pikes Peak at 14,114’

Day 4 – Drive home with scenic views and short stops in Monument Valley, UT.

REQUIRED GEAR

3 season tent, sleeping bag, large day pack with camelbak, sunscreen, hiking shoes/boots, bathing suit, layering clothes for Pikes Peak, hiking poles (optional),

- Hike and Ride the 750’ dunes

FRIDAY NIGHT Dinner & Drinks in Canon City, CO

SATURDAY 10:30am – Meet at Royal Gorge Rafting center.  5 hour rafting adventure

SATURDAY NIGHT – Dinner at Royal Gorge Bar and Pub, camp near Pike Peak

SUNDAY 4am – Drive to Pikes Peak trailhead (30 mins)

SUNDAY 4pm – Back to van

CPR and First Aid at Sender One LAX

Join American Heart Association Instructor Dan Sherman for this informative CPR/ FA class. Dan is a 14 year Paramedic with both the Fire Service and Search and Rescue. 

ITINERARY

We will cover CPR for Adults, Children and Infants. We will go over Choking for all age groups as well as the use of AED's (Automated External Defibrillators). 

The First Aid portion will cover Medical and Traumatic emergencies. Medical emergencies included will be Allergic Reactions and Heart Attacks. Traumatic emergencies included will be dislocations, fractures, bleeding control and splinting.

REQUIRED GEAR

We will provide all the required equipment. Please bring water and food for the duration of the class. 

TRAINING AGENDA

8:00am – 11:30am - We will learn how to manage Cardiac Arrest and Choking patients. 

11:30am - noon - We will have a 30 min break for lunch. There is food in the area. Bringing food with you to class may be the best choice. 

noon – 2:00pm: We will learn how to manage Medical and Traumatic Emergencies.
