Winter Wilderness Travel: Advanced

Join winter travel experts, Dan Sherman & Randy Rokosz in this advanced form of winter travel. You will trek through avalanche country and be shown how to read the terrain to avoid creating or being caught in an avalanche. With avalanche training, avalanche search and rescue, rope team travel, anchor building and a refresher on self arrest, you will be equipped with the essential skills to safely navigate some of the more technical terrain this country has to offer.

Your training will be held in the backcountry of Mammoth Mountain, at Castle Rock. Your technical gear will be put to the test, along with your stamina as you trek, train and camp. With more snow than in recent years, this training ground will prove to be the most technical, situational winter environment to put your skills to the test. Tis will surely be an epic way to learn these essential life saving skills. COST - $125 Per Person INCLUDES – Transportation, Food, Permits & Lodging
